The Rajalakshmi College of Education is managed by Anna Educational Society. The society was established in. The Arignar Anna Teacher Training Institute was managed by the society.

A spacious library with the area of sq. feet and books are available three hours per week is allotted within the timetable for regular work.

Rules & Regulation

The library is open on all working days from 9.00am to 6.00p.m., Library membership will be given to the students, when they receive the college identity cards.
Students should enter their roll number and name in the gate register and sign in the same before entering the library.
The Librarian may take appropriate action under intimation to the principal on member found misbehaving in the library.
Cell Phone are NOT allowed into the library.
No students will be allowed to enter the library without college Identity Cards. Outsiders should not be brought to the library without principal permission.
Library is a place for serious self-study. All must maintain a conducive atmosphere for silent study. Disturbance of any kind is strictly forbidden. Those violating the rule of silence may be asked to leave the library.
Students shall not misplace books from their positions in the racks.
Library cards are not to be transferred or exchanged or shared. One can return other’s book(s) and thereafter return the card(s) to the owner.
One should examine the condition of the books while borrowing and report to the Librarian/Library Assistant immediately if any damage is noticed. Books are to be handled carefully. He borrower will be responsible for any damage or mutilation of the borrowed books.
Books and magazines are issued from 9.00a.m to 6.00 p.m.
Books borrowed by a student must be returned within 15 days.
Reference books and rare books for consultation will be issued only on special permission by principal. These books must be returned immediately and will not be lent out.
All the books and cards are to be returned to the library before withdrawing from the college in order to get the final clearance.
Loss of any library card must be report to the Librarian immediately in writing. A new card(s) may be issued after paying Rs.20 per new card. The amount has to be paid in the College Office and the receipt submitted to the Librarian.
The students who are university rank holder / Honors / class toppers/college toppers can take two more cards..
